Our office hours are 8am to 4:30pm, Monday to Friday (closed Bank Holidays) but emails are monitored outside these hours and, for urgent service matters (e.g. no power or hot water, or concerns about system safety) a phone number is provided on our out-of-office phone message.
Where a callout is not covered under warranty a service charge may apply. To provide transparency regarding our charges for service callouts, we have set them out below (all prices exclude GST):
Our hourly rate for service callouts is $105 per hour ($52.50 per half hour). Charged in half hour increments with a minimum ‘time on site’ charge of half an hour.
Our vehicle charges are $1.22 per km, travel time is charged at the hourly rate. Mileage and travel for callouts during work hours are charged from our premises at 129 Pascoe Street, Nelson. Mileage and travel time for out of hours callouts are charged from the time our technicians start travelling in relation to the callout (whether from their house, our premises, or elsewhere).
All components, consumables, other materials or costs incurred through third parties providers will be charged in addition.
If the callout is due to an issue that is covered by warranty, whether it be product or workmanship, the items covered under warranty will not be charged for and part or all of any residual callout charges may be waived at Current Generation’s sole discretion.
A summary of the warranty terms relating to installations undertaken by Current Generation Systems Limited are set out in the table below. Note that these are the warranties applicable to these products installed today. The warranty periods applicable to older installations will be subject to the warranty terms at the time of installation which should be set out in your quote or other communications with Current Generation or your installer.

Note that workmanship warranties only apply to work performed by Current Generation Systems Limited (2 October 2023 onwards). Work performed before this was undertaken by Current Generation Limited and is not covered. In addition, most manufacturer warranties do not cover travel, labour or other related costs. It is at Current Generation System Limited’s sole discretion whether service charges relating to performing such warranty claims are charged to the customer.
Where there are differences between the summary table above and the manufacturer’s warranty document, the manufacturer’s warranty document will prevail.
