Solar Electrician – Nelson

Work on Solar, Batteries & Off-Grid Systems

This is not repetitive housing work. You’ll work on a wide variety of systems using leading brands including Victron, Fronius, BYD, and Sigenergy – alongside a team that takes pride in doing the job properly.

Typical Work Includes

• Residential and commercial solar installs
• Battery and hybrid systems
• Off-grid power systems
• System commissioning and setup
• Roof and ground mount installations
• Fault finding and servicing

Some days are on the tools installing. Others are fault finding, commissioning systems, or solving technical problems onsite.

What We’re Looking For

• NZ Registered Electrician with current practising licence
• Reliable and takes ownership of their work
• Practical problem solver
• Professional with customers and the team
• Physically capable and comfortable working at heights
• Wants to keep learning and developing

Solar experience and a Mains Parallel endorsement is a real bonus, but not essential. The right attitude and electrical fundamentals matter more.

We’re not a volume franchise operation. We focus on quality workmanship, strong technical standards, and building long-term capability in our team. There is some overnight travel required on occasion, typically 1-2 nights per month.

Indicative terms: Permanent role, $40 – $45 per hour depending on experience.
